It’s that time of year. The motorcycling has become almost non-existent, and the dreaming of motorcycling has taken over. Maps and atlases come out of the drawer and the list of journalistic goals begins.
2012 looks like it’s going to be a good one.

It’s that time of the year when the riding season is nearly over and thoughts turn to next year. I scour notes, pour over maps and start researching ideas.
I try to keep in mind past rides, and those roads that gave me pleasure. But most of all, I try to plan something around a good story.
My best tool for dreaming about adventure? It all starts with a good map.
