It has been awhile, bur arranged to visit Mustang Journey to see my friend Troy and see the current herd. Hot and humid, the horses were pretty lethargic, as was I. Currently, Mustang Journey has seven mustangs and one domestic horse used for their riding program.

This is Roxie. Her mustang brand identifies her from Nevada. She’s a Nevada girl.
Mustang Journey adopts mustangs, gentles them, prepares them for adoption out to owners who are ready to own a mustang and ready to ride. They do this all with the help of volunteers and Veterans who are interested in equine therapy. The draw of the mustangs has been intrumental in the programs growth. They are not just horses, they are mustangs!

Previously, I had some work with Charlotte. I was a part time volunteer a couple of years ago, and I was cleaning out her stall. She gave me a touch and then she pressed her muzzle against my cheek! I was in heaven. She was probablyi just getting a scratch against my beard. LOL!
It was great to visit Mustang Journey. I’ll be back.
See you on the highway.
Brent
